Deepwell is an area of Palm Springs that has many custom-built mid-century homes. This gives it a different feel from areas like Vista Las Palmas and Racquet Club, which were tract developments. Architects Donald Wexler, E Stewart Williams and Hugh Kaptur each designed homes in Deepwell.
Many Hollywood stars and entertainers called Deepwell home in the 1960s, including William Holden, Jack Webb, and Julie London. Liberace also owned a home here for a time.
Deepwell is close to downtown Palm Springs and to many great restaurants in the south end of town.
